If thatís the case I have serious expectation management ahead for our first West Coast J flights next year. My Wifeís favourite thing about our last CW flight was afternoon tea and scones.

Might need to resort to bringing my own scones to manage the fall out!
Hi,

I think west coast flights from LHR get the second hot meal prior to arrival rather than scones/afternoon tea ( I did get scones on the Toronto flight but a second hot meal on Las vegas flights)

Regards

I suggest hitting up a sandwich shop before you board, or consider it pre-cruise fasting.

Pre-cruise fasting, or post-Cruz fasting.

Currently, itís a snack box prior to landing (I think with a scone and sandwich etc) but Iím not sure whether or not MIA will be a candidate for the second hot meal.

Nice to see something positive from BA for once.

If only they could bring back complimentary service on intra-European and "upgrade the catering" there due to customer feedback.

Agree, that was only the real separating factor between them and a LCC on those intra-Europe flights ...

Am I pathetic in thinking, "Oh, I wouldn't mind that for my second meal in F"?

I think these points are also interesting:

Economy passengers with status (probably just Gold) or travelling on fully flexible tickets should get ‘special treatment’ in flight when it comes to catering. There is not a cast iron guarantee that this will happen, or what form it will take, but Cruz understands it is an issue.

That latter point is in respect to short haul, just realised it isn't clear in the original.
