Silver medallion phone number

Is it answered 24/7 like the regular non-medallion Skymiles number?

Edit: Sorry if this is an easily answered question, but I couldn't find the answer in the materials I received welcoming me into the ranks of Delta "elites".

The first four digits are 1-800. The last seven are listed on the back of your Medallion membership card.

I'll trade you the FO number for the DM number.

I thought they were the same, and only routed/prioritized differently once you enter your SkyMiles number. I only just now realized that my GM number is an 800 number while the DM number is an 877 number.

Is the 800 number the same for all non-DM medallions?

My question is, does it even matter? I thought if you call 800-221-1212 they ask if you have a skymiles number anyway. . .does it then route your call based on your Medallion level? Or should we always call the secret Medallions numbers?

For that matter, if you call an elite number, doesn't it still ask for your SkyMiles number before routing you to an agent? If you aren't a medallion, does it still route you to an agent?

You can call any number and as soon as you enter your skymiles number it should route you to the correct service. I have both the 'general elite' and DM numbers in my phone and no matter what i enter i get routed to the PM desk

During extreme peak call volume the general number may be busy. Otherwise, there isn't much of a difference.

You tell them your pin in exchange for not having to answer other questions, so that they "can get you to the right person". Good deal, if you ask me. Less hassle.

My son told me that when he jumped from FO to GM just recently, the wait became almost always non-existant, compared to having to wait for tens of minutes as an FO, especially during peak periods and periods with difficult weather, etc.
Is there really an FO desk or is it just the regular SkyMiles line? Or is it just that there are almost as many FOs as kettles calling in these days?

Just use the app...

I can never remember the number, but if you've got an iPhone (or, I imagine, an Android) if you use the app, the contact button at the bottom provides a convenient link to the [insert your Medallion level here] desk.

It also lets you tweet @DeltaAssist directly, too.

Pretty much, the app rocks.
