Oops, I just saw the request not to post in the thread upon re-reading. Apparently, deleting of posts has been disabled also.

Sorry!!

1. For the Lounge section on CI:
- Abu Dhabi used to use a third party lounge when it was still a current destination.
- Beijing uses the Air China Lounge
- Phuket uses the Thai Airways Lounge
- Shanghai uses the China Eastern Lounge
- Sydney uses the Quantas Lounge (and is by far the nicest lounge I've ever used while flying on CI)
- Vienna uses a third party lounge, but I can't remember who operates it, but it's a pretty limited service lounge.

2. An "off the top of my head" informal rating of all the lounges I've used while flying CI (and can remember well enough), in order from best to worst. Of all those listed, only Sydney is what I would call "World Class" quality.

- Sydney (Operated by Quantas)
- Taipei
- Hong Kong
- Abu Dhabi (3rd Party, can't remember who)
- Bangkok
- Beijing (Operated by Air China)
- Tokyo
- Shanghai (Operated by China Eastern)
- San Francisco
- Vienna (3rd Party, can't remember who)

3. For the Dynasty Program Requirements, for EMER and PARA, in addition to the mileage requirements, you also have to fly 4 paid (as opposed to upgraded) business/first class flights for EMER, and 6 paid business/first class flights for PARA. "D" fares do count for this requirement, as confirmed by a call to the customer service line in Taipei.

4. The four new 747-400s (B-1821x), are deployed almost exclusively on LAX routes. Occasionally, you will see them on a HKG or Mainland China route. In close to 200 flights taken over the past 4 years, I've only seen one of these aircraft used 4-5 times on non-LAX routes.

5. PARA members also get:
- Priority (no waiting) security line access on departure in Sydney.
- Phuket gets priority security and customs clearance on departure, with an escort all the way from check-in counter to lounge/gate. If you opt to use the lounge, your escort waits for you at the lounge as well. The general manager of CI's Phuket office also greets you at the gate on arrival and walks you from the gate through baggage claim and customs, all the way to ground transportion and also sees you off at the gate for departure.
- Occasional offers of free concert tickets if a concert of likely interest to the PARA membership base comes to your home location.
- Mont Blanc Starwalker Pen from the in-flight Duty Free Magazine hand delivered to an address of your choosing upon reaching PARA status.
- Use of the First Class/Paragon check in lounge on departure from TPE Terminal 2

Brisbane - Air New Zealand Lounge (?)

I can confirm that was correct as at 28 April 2009. Will check on 14 May 2010.

In MNL EVA uses the PAGStop Lounge

In CGK EVA has offered a voucher good for my choice of either the Jasa Angkasa Semesta (JAS) Premier lounge or the Pura Indah Lounge with the JAS lounge being the clear winner IMO.

Also, I have flown BR TPE-MNL ALLOT and have never, ever, heard of an M90 on that route. AFIK it is always either an A330 or a 74E.

Outstanding collection of information BTW. Thanks for posting it.

Anyone know what the standby requirements are for TransAsia Airways? Do they allow same day standby on other flights, space available?

I cant find these rules anywhere.

CI lounge @ SZX

they will use "First Class Lounge" at 2F international terminal after immigration.
International terminal has no jetway bridge and will use shuttle bus for boarding.

Updated. Thanks for the info.

TransAsia does allow same day stand by for flights, given there are spaces available.

Anyone know the MCT at TPE.
Looking to fly MFM-TPE-HKG-SYD on a Eva/ Cathay connection.

Will be separate tickets. Tightest connection is 1hr20.

Secondly does Eva interline luggage with Cathay?

Same terminal MCT is 60 minutes; terminal 1 to 2 and vv is 90 minutes. Most of the time (95%+) they are both in the same terminal, although CX uses the B gates and BR uses the C gates. Very rarely BR has to use an A gate, so 1:20 technically is fine. BR and CX do interline bags.

CI lounge @SIN

CI will use The Skyview Lounge (same as CX) in Terminal 1 mezzanine floor, after immigration.

A/B are terminal 1 and C/D are terminal 2. So technically C<->B is 2<->1 has a MCT of 90 minutes.

To moa999 though, I would not worry at all. The B concourse is just an extra 5 minutes or so.

I do assume you have planned on being able to online checkin with CX as that would be an issue.
