Flying to Madrid Oct 30th - when strikes due

We fly to Madrid on Oct 30th on American Airlines. Is there a website to get the latest info? I contacted American Airlines asking them what we should do and they said they didn't know anything about the possible strike. We do have trip insurance, but not sure what steps we should take. See if we can fly out a day earlier? Not sure trip insurance would cover that?

Thanks for your help!

Are the strikes happening? If so should we avoid flying BCN-EAS on Oct 1 and instead take the train?

Updates?

Has anyone got any updates?
Been poking around online in vain to finding anything beyond the original announcement.
Any news about strike-date changes for December?

Thank you in advance.

I flew through various Spanish airports over the past 2 weeks including on Oct 1 and there were no issues, in fact I was really impressed at how efficient the airport security workers were.
