Colorado Lift Tickets - Still available at King Soopers or Safeway?

Last time I went to Colorado lift tickets could be purchased at a discount in Denver at King Soopers or Safeway. Is this still the case? If not, any other ideas as to where I could get my hands on some cheap(er) lift tickets for Winter Park between DIA and the mountains?

Thanks

The grocery stores do still sell lift tickets, but honestly, the discount isn't all that great anymore. Have you checked out the 4 packs that WP offers? I'm not sure if they're still available at this point in the season, but if they are, they're probably a way better deal than you can get at the grocery stores...

Winter Park Lift Ticket Coupons

When are you going skiing? I have 2 coupons that I am not using that are valid until 2/13/09. You have to take the coupon to the Winter Park Resort lift ticket window. Only one lift ticket per person per day. The coupon is $50 for mon - Fri ticket. Also have some Child lift ticket coupons for $30 - blackout dates 3/14 to 3/29/09. You can send me a private message if you want them.

As for getting them at the grocery store, King Sooper is selling them a for $75 right now but the prices will change on 2/13 - probably go up for Spring break. If it is just you that is not much of a savings, but If you are taking a family like I do, it saves me about $100 per day.

Hope this helps.

Car rental

This is not about lift tickets - but if you are renting a car I found a great deal. Go on priceline .com search for Budget. put in coupon code (BDC)y367806
I got a Chevy Trailblazer size car for $266.98 including all taxes and fees for one week. I am traveling March 24, I don't know if it will be the same for your travel dates. Everywhere else I have looked is in the $500 range. Going through Berthold Pass getting to Winter Park you really want a 4 WD because you never know what the weather will be like.

Doesn't appear that code is getting that rate anymore, but thanks for the info--was trying to get a SUV for under $500 from 3/7-3/15.

If anyone has Winter Park coupons/discount tix good for that week, please PM me--tks!

I read over @epicski.com that Costcos' in SLC area had discount tkts for that area's resorts- how about Denver? There is a Costco just down the road from EGE.

I haven't been to Costco in a few weeks, but I've *never* seen discount lift tickets there. In fact, you'll be hard-pressed to find discount lift tickets to the Vail Resorts in general. There are a few out there for Copper/WP and definitely for the smaller resorts, but I haven't seen any at Costco.

I did read about a deal for a BOGO for Copper (maybe WP, too?) by buying at least 10 gallons of gas at a Phillips 66. I'm pretty sure that deal is posted over at Epic (I'm not a member there, but the person who posted it on another forum is).

I would agree wtih you about Vail. They are pretty tight-fisted about discounts except thru their PEAKS program. Once while scrolling ebay, somebody was trying to sell the remainder of a PEAKS pass and it got a response from someone from Vail security that it was against the rules to try to resell and that they were going to contact ebay to halt the sale if they didn't pull the listing!

If you think you'll be out here for more than a week, you can now purchase Epic and Summit passes on-line. In the past, you had to do your first purchase in-person in September; this year, you don't even have to do that.

Epic Pass - $599 - Unlimited skiing at Keystone, Breckenridge, Vail, Beaver Creek, A-Basin, and Heavenly with no blackout dates
Summit Pass - $449 - Unlimited skiing at Keystone, Breckenridge and A-Basin; 10 days at Vail/Beaver Creek (not valid Thanksgiving weekend, week between X-Mas and New Year's, and President's Day Weekend)

Bump!

I just tried calling the King Sooper above twice & they hung up on me both times!

Does anyone know how much of a discount one can get for Vail lift tickets from them?

I'm seeing late March tickets direct from Vail for $264 for a 3-day pass & $196 for a 2-day pass.

I'm curious if King Sooper is cheaper for the 2 or 3 day passes.

Thanks!

There are probably 20 King Soopers in the Front Range area. Call another one, or try a Safeway. Some gas stations sell them, too. If you can save $20, it's worth a couple of calls.
